I graduated from the University of Maryland in May 2018. Since then, I have written frontend code that is interacted with by millions on sites like Rolling Stone, Variety, and more.

Work Experience

Front-End Engineer: Subscriptions, Penske Media Corporation
  • Led the frontend development of digital subscriptions for PMC’s largest brands (Rolling Stone, Variety, WWD, and Sportico), which previously only generated revenue from print subscriptions.
  • Designed, scoped, and implemented (in React) the customer registration experiences (corporate, free, and individual).
  • Rebuilt the checkout platform in React JS and TypeScript.
  • Created pages allowing customers to update payment information without having to call support.
  • Implemented the in-article paywalls and free trial offer components.
  • Led initiatives to improve the Design System used by many brands.
  • Built a form for designers to edit design patterns easily (Sass).
  • Redesigned Wordpress sites to include custom built subscriptions components and ads using PHP, Javascript, and Cxense (Piano).

Junior Software Engineer, Higher Logic
  • Implemented algorithms and frontend for both a search sidebar and an FAQ sidebar, that aided users with navigation of the site.
  • Built a Data Dashboard that uses SQL queries and automated reporting to present customers with their latest aggregated data.
  • Created new React components for the homepage used daily by users.
  • Assembled an entire testing library from scratch for the Design System using Jest.

Development Intern, Higher Logic
  • Built and deployed a new drag and drop interface for client site customization using JavaScript and C#.
  • Refactored entire codebase in Java to enable language translation of webpages.
  • Altered the Marketing Automation platform by writing SQL queries.

Research Assistant, Human-Computer Interaction Lab at UMD
  • Developed the mobile site for Project Sidewalk using JavaScript and Google Maps API.
  • Enhanced the overall design of the site by resolving bugs and adding additional features.
